  • Jennifer Boulanger

Hi, I’m Jen, the founder of Elementyl yoga. I’m an American who made the move to Europe in 2014, and I have spent the majority of my professional career in HR. With over 20 years of yoga practice under my belt, I decided to become a yoga teacher—not only because of my passion for it, but because of the changes I’ve seen it make in my body, my health and my spirit.

I first discovered yoga by going to a few classes at the gym, but I didn’t really connect with it until I went to a yoga studio. I then realized that this was what real yoga was about and why people love it so much. I started with Vinyasa and over the years have tried all different types of yoga, including Bikram and Iyengar, but Vinyasa, Yin and Astanga are my favorites.

I relocated from Amsterdam to Todi in 2020, during the Pandemic.  I began taking online yoga classes and practicing at home. However, it was not the same experience that I had grown to love in my Amsterdam studio. I found myself yearning for an in-person yoga practice, which inspired me to open my very own yoga studio right here in Todi centro.

In my yoga classes, I lead with setting an intention, pranayama, creative and ever-changing flows, uplifting music, and always plenty of humour. I firmly believe that music and movement are medicine, and I strive to make yoga an enjoyable and accessible experience for everyone, regardless of their background.

I am not a yogi. I eat meat, I drink wine, I struggle with my weight and my competitive spirit. I believe in using yoga to help balance life’s struggles. It’s not about being really bendy, a vegan, or practising extreme postures. It’s about calming the mind, while strengthening the body, and ultimately feeling really good physically and mentally. True wellness.

  • Nicole Berzel

Hi, I'm Nicole, and I’m originally from the beautiful country of Germany. There, I had the wonderful pleasure of operating my very own studio dedicated to massage, yoga, workshops, and a delightful variety of other holistic practices that aimed to enrich the lives of my clients. Nature truly holds a special place in my heart, and it inspires me every day. In my free time, I love spending ample time outdoors, taking long and leisurely walks with my beloved dog Pino, and traveling to new and exciting places. Life is filled with so many wonderful experiences waiting to be discovered, and I am deeply grateful for each and every day I get to spend on this beautiful earth.

In 2022, during one of my travels, I discovered the stunning beauty of Italy while visiting the charming town of Ripaioli. Following that enchanting experience, my partner and I made the life-changing decision to move to Todi, located in the picturesque green heart of Italy. It was here that I discovered Elementyl yoga, and I have attended classes as a student over the past year, connecting deeply with both the classes and the warm community.

I am absolutely delighted to bring the unique practice of “Thai Yoga Massage” to the Elementyl Studio. I love to connect with others and touch people on different levels, fostering both physical and emotional healing in a gentle and nurturing way. Since 2008, I have been on a beautiful journey in massage, consistently developing my skills in reading people's energy through this amazing art of bodywork. Additionally, I am a passionate yoga teacher and musician, always eager to explore life in its many profound depths and share these experiences with others.

  • Giulia Basili

Hi, I’m Giulia, and I’m originally from Orvieto, Umbria. I recently moved to Todi to spend more time in nature and to enjoy a slower paced lifestyle, after living in big cities such as Milan and Paris for many years.

I first discovered yoga in Paris in 2013, at a popular gym where I used to go to relieve stress from working in a demanding and difficult job in the fashion industry. At the gym, yoga was presented as a workout and because of this, I didn’t fall in love with the practice. A year later, I attended an Ashtanga Yoga class by accident, as I was looking for a calming practice and this was anything but calming! Astanga can be very a intense and challenging practice, but it was what I really needed at that time.

I’ve been practising for over 11 years now, and I’ve travelled to India and around Europe to deepen my practice and learn more about other styles of yoga, such as Vinyasa, Rocket and Yin Yoga. Over the last few years, I came across several holistic disciplines and since 2023 I’ve been studying at a Holistic Medicine school to become a certified Holistic health coach.

In my classes, I like to focus on the development of strength and flexibility with strong attention to the right alignments, which make the practice safe and more effective in terms of benefits. I like to challenge students, but each class is absolutely open to everyone, as poses can be adapted to all levels of practitioners. I can also teach in English, Italian and French.

Outside of my yoga practice, my interests include traveling (especially in Asia and Eastern Europe), walking in the nature and listening to good music!
